Secondary Community Involvement  Hours

In the 2025 - 2026 school year, the Ministry of Education announced a new Certificate of Recognition for Community Involvement opportunity for graduating students.  This is detailed on the Ministry’s web page entitled Use Community Involvement Hours To Build Your Future.

The certificate program recognizes students who earn 50 or more community involvement hours, with distinctions for bronze (50-99 hours), silver (100-199 hours), and gold (200+ hours), beginning with students graduating in the 2025-26 school year. Please note that the graduation requirement for an Ontario Secondary School Diploma remains 40 hours of community involvement.

A reminder that the Community Involvement Opportunities are posted HERE in this document, with the most recent ones at the top. The document is updated as we receive opportunities.
