About Us

Established in 1867, Centennial Public School is a well-established middle school community serving students in Grades 6 through 8 in both English and French Immersion programs. Nestled in the Town of Halton Hills on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabek Ojibwe Michizaagiig Nation (Mississaugas of the Credit), Centennial has been empowering young adolescents to reach their full potential for decades, with roots in the Georgetown community stretching back to the mid-20th century. The school’s current location at Delrex Boulevard continues a long tradition of public education in the area, reflecting Georgetown’s historic growth along the Credit River and its evolution as a vibrant town west of Toronto.

At Centennial, the focus is on supporting students through the unique middle school years with a curriculum that balances strong academic foundations with opportunities for personal growth, leadership, and community engagement. Learners are encouraged to explore their interests, develop critical thinking skills, and build lasting relationships within a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment. The school’s programming is guided by the Halton District School Board’s strategic priorities, ensuring that every student feels seen, supported, and ready to thrive as a global citizen. Families and the broader community are valued partners in this work, collaborating to make Centennial a place where students are challenged, cared for, and celebrated each day.
