About Us
Established in 1991, C.H. Norton Public School is a Kindergarten to Grade 8 school that carries the name of Mr. Norton, whose dedication to school bussing helped ensure that education was accessible to students across the region. Today, we carry that legacy forward by ensuring every student has the path they need to succeed. Situated in the heart of Headon Forest, our school is embraced by vibrant greenspaces that serve as an extension of our learning environment. These natural surroundings provide daily opportunities for our Nighthawks to explore, connect with the land, and ground themselves in the beauty of the outdoors.
Co-curricular opportunities, including various sports teams and clubs of interest, are woven throughout the day and beyond instructional hours, providing spaces for students to connect with one another, participate in activities they enjoy, lead initiatives and honour their unique voices. Through these varied experiences and student-led initiatives, kids see their interests and themselves reflected in our school culture, fostering a space where every student can find a sense of resonance.
Our commitment to equity and inclusion is rooted in kindness, community, and genuine connection. We strive to build an environment where each individual feels deeply valued and holds a true sense of belonging. By staying strong together, we support one another in becoming the best versions of ourselves, navigating our collective journey with the focus and resilience of the Nighthawk.
