School Council

Dear Mohawk Gardens Families, 

Another school year is upon us!  We welcome all interested parents and caregivers to be involved with our School council - we work together throughout the school year to enhance the involvement and contributions of the school community. 

The role of our Parent Council is to provide parent feedback to our staff and finance special programs and much needed resources at our school.  We organize fun events and fundaisers like Dance-a-thon, Movie Nights, our Spring Plant Sale and Fun Fair.  We facilitate the operation of our incredible Breakfast Club program, open to all students every day of the week, and our hot lunch options like weekly pizza days and LunchBox.

All volunteers who enter the school must have a Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Search on file at the office.  Volunteers who have submitted their police check in the past will need to complete an offence declaration form every year.

Our School Council meets virtually several times a year via Google Meet - all parents and caregivers are welcome to attend all meetings.  If you would like to join our Parent Council and be a voting member, please complete a Nomination Form.  Our first meeting will take place in early October, date to be confirmed soon.
