Planning Department | Halton District School Board
The planning department is responsible for planning of student accommodation within the Halton District School Board which includes determining the future of existing schools and the need for new schools and additions.
The department manages the following planning initiatives and processes:
- School Boundary Reviews
- Program and Accommodation Reviews
- Community Planning and Partnerships
- Education Development Charges
- Portable classroom allocations
- Development of short and long-term enrolment projections, which are released annually through the Long Term Accommodation Plan (LTAP)
- Communicates with local municipal planners and developers to assist with planning for new schools in high growth areas
