In 2022, Pardeep Nagra joined the Halton District School Board in the role of Human Rights & Equity Advisor to proactively support the Halton District School Board to address human rights issues and respond appropriately to human rights concerns.
As the Human Rights & Equity Advisor (HREA), Pardeep has two main objectives:

Building and maintaining a culture of respect for Human Rights. This involves supporting the Board to identify and address systemically-based human rights and equity issues and building the Board’s capacity to ensure compliance with the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Supporting the resolution of Human Rights complaints. This includes oversight of the Board’s internal human rights complaints procedure.
