Oakville T.B.D. Area Boundary Review
About The Review
As of September 2020, the developer has indicated that the first phase of residential closings is expected to start April 2021. It is recommended to perform a boundary review to designate school(s) prior to closings to temporarily accommodate students until Oakville NE #3 ps opens.
On January 15, 2021, the Boundary Review Steering Committee (BRSC) had its inaugural meeting. At this meeting, the BRSC selected Pathway #2 as the consultation process that will be followed given the limited number of options; the absence of existing residents; and the urgency to complete the review. Preliminary options were reviewed. At the follow up meeting on January 22, 2021, the BRSC recommended that Option 2 be presented to the Director of Education for consideration.
On February 17, 2021, Report 21027 was presented to the Board of Trustees as information and for future approval. A presentation was provided to the Board outlining the work that the Boundary Review Steering Committee completed in developing the options.
