Sept. 9, 2025 - Starting Kindergarten is a big milestone, and the Halton District School Board (HDSB) wants to ensure families feel prepared and excited as they set their children on the path to lifelong learning and success. Families with children who will be starting Kindergarten in September 2026 are invited to attend the HDSB’s Calling All Three-Year-Olds Kindergarten Open Houses this October and November in Acton, Georgetown, Burlington, Milton and Oakville.
The Halton District School Board (HDSB) looks forward to welcoming approximately 65,000 Kindergarten to Grade 12 students on the first day of school on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025.
