who were appointed by the Principal to represent the Garth Webb student voice at the board level:

Daniel Maier

(Grade 12)

Hello! I'm Daniel Maier, and I'm super excited to be one of your Student Senators this year! I'm passionate about making sure your voice is heard, valued, and included in the decisions that shape Garth Web, because I believe that real change happens when everyone is part of the conversation. I hope to help build our community where every student feels they belong, has opportunities to get involved, and feels prepared to reach their goals. If you ever have anything you want to share, I'd be more than happy to chat anytime. I can't wait to connect with everyone and make this year one we all get to shape together!

Christopher Szura

(Grade 11)

Hello! I'm Christopher Szura, and I am honoured to serve as one of the Student Senators this year for Garth Webb! I'm passionate about ensuring every student's voice is heard, valued, and represented, both within our school and at the board level. Through my experience as Junior Editor of the Yearbook and as an executive member of the Peer Tutoring Program, I've developed strong skills in communication, collaboration and problem-solving that I'm excited to bring to this role. I hope to help build a community where everyone feels included, has opportunities to get involved, and can reach their goals. I look forward to representing your ideas and working collaboratively to create meaningful change.

Banipreet Sachdeva

(Grade 11)

Hi everyone! I'm Banipreet Sachdeva, and I'm truly honoured to represent our community at Garth Webb SS as this year's Student Senator. I bring passion, dedication, and a genuine commitment to making sure your voices are heard. Through my involvement in DECA, the Mock Trial Team, and Choir, I've built problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills that I'm excited to put into action. This year, my focus is on supporting mental health, expanding opportunities for student involvement, and driving meaningful, sustainable change. I believe in hearing every voice and making every change-and together, Chargers, we can make this our best year yet!

What is the Student Senate?

We're a group of passionate leaders from public schools across the Halton District School Board. We meet once a month to provide the student perspective on board issues and to voice the questions and concerns of Halton students. The Student Trustees relay these perspectives to the Board of Trustees to ensure that students are being represented.

Each year, we also organize and run the Halton Youth Leadership Symposium, a conference for Halton students.
