Parking Lot & Pedestrian Safety

With our busy parking lot, safety must come first. Drivers, please slow down, stay alert, and always yield to pedestrians especially at the traffic lights at dismissal. Whether driving, biking, or walking, please take your time and stay aware of your surroundings. Let’s keep everyone safe getting home!

Junior Boys Volleyball Tryouts

This is a reminder that Junior Boys Volleyball Tryouts will be held afterschool today at 3:00pm in the big gym.

YAY! Garth Webb’s Sexuality And Gender Equity Club (called SAGE) welcomes all 2SLGBTQIA+ identifying students, staff, allies and friends to join our weekly meeting at lunch on Wednesdays in Room 2035. 

Lunch Rock Band video auditions are starting this week. Are you part of a music class? Play guitar, bass, piano or sing?  Come to room ten fifty one to find more information posted on the door. Video auditions are due by Friday September 18th at 5:00 PM

Good morning, Chargers!!! A reminder that today will be the LAST PHOTO DAY.

Your photo will be taken in the lower and upper cafeteria and you will receive your student cards in the next week or so.

The schedule will be as follows:  P1 Grade 9, P2 Grade 10, P4 Grade 11 and P5 Grade 12.

If your class has not yet had their photos taken, today is the day! Please be ready and on time. All staff and students are to have their photos taken today. 

Correction, any grade 9’s and 10’s interested in playing volleyball the meeting will be today in the gym at the start of lunch. 

Attention musicians and musicians-to-be! Did you know that Garth Webb has a boat-load of bands and choirs that you can join? There are junior and senior concert bands, jazz band, rock band and two choirs. If you’re interested, come to our short information meeting TODAY at 11:15 in the music room, room ten fifty-one.

The tennis team is hosting an information meeting today during lunch break in room 3012.  Students in any grade are welcome to attend.  Your tennis ability can range from medium skill level to competitive level. See Mr. Chau in the business teachers’ office for more information.  

The DECA business club is gearing up for another exciting year of competition.  We will be hosting two information sessions next week right after school in the drama room on the main floor:  Tuesday Sept 14th @ 3pm will be for students in grades 9 and 10;  Wednesday Sept 15th @ 3pm will be for students in grades 11 and 12. To get connected to the Garth Webb DECA team,, join our Instagram, or speak with Mr. Chau in the business teachers’ office to get the DECA team Google Classroom code.    

Calling all runners! There is a meeting for people interested in joining the cross country team TODAY at 11:15 in room 2042. Come and see what this amazing sport is all about!

Reminder to all senior boys who want to tryout for the volleyball team, there is a tryout today at lunch. Make sure you have your med form completed. If you have any questions, see Kinsella in the physed office.

The Muslim Students’ Association  will be holding Friday prayers in room 3002 after school today.

Junior Girls Basketball - this is a reminder that today after school is the last tryout day.  Even if you did not make the first tryout yesterday morning, you can still come out! Bring your medical form!

We had an amazing turn out at yesterday’s fall show reveal - thanks to all who came! If you haven’t heard, we’re doing We Will Rock You.  Information and audition sign up will be posted by lunch today!

This is a message for all tennis players.  The Garth Webb Tennis Team is looking for students to try out for the junior and senior tennis teams.  We need students to play boys singles, boys doubles, girls singles, girls doubles, and also mixed doubles.  Please come to room 3012 at the start of lunch tomorrow on Friday September 11 to learn more details. 

The DECA business club is looking to welcome new and returning members for another exciting year of business role play competition!. To kick off our 2026 season, please attend one of the following information meetings next week:  For students in grade 9 and 10, come next week on Tuesday after school to the main floor drama room.  For students in grades 11 and 12, your DECA information session will be next Wednesday after school.

Any boys in grades 9 and 10 interested in playing volleyball, there will be a meeting at the start of lunch today in the small gym.
