What is HDSB Kind?

HDSB Kind is a shared commitment to centring Kindness, Connection and Community in everything we do. It reflects how we learn together, support one another and build strong relationships across our schools and workplaces.

These values are present in classrooms, offices and school communities across the HDSB. By intentionally modelling and celebrating kindness, we continue building school communities where every student, staff member and family feels valued and connected.

HDSB Kind is reflected in:

  • Classrooms where students feel safe, respected and valued

  • Strong, collaborative relationships between schools and families

  • Community partnerships and local initiatives that make a positive difference

  • Student voice, leadership and opportunities to contribute meaningfully

These everyday moments shape a culture where connection grows and belonging thrives.

Community organizations and educators come together for Community Mental Health Symposium

Educators and community organizations from across Halton gathered prior to the winter break for the Illuminate: Shining a Light on Mental Health Community Partnerships Symposium, a one-day event focused on shared learning in support of student well-being.

Craig Kielburger SS held its Community Pathways Program (CPP) graduation ceremony to celebrate the incredible achievements of its graduates as they prepare for the next chapter in their lives.

White Oaks SS prepares free meals for those in need in the local community

Kind to our community

White Oaks SS students in the culinary program have been helping make weekly meals for St. Jude's Church in Oakville, and are distributed to feed those in need in the local community.
