Help Name Oakville’s New Secondary School
The excitement has been building as the Halton District School Board prepares to open our newest high school at 4020 Sixth Line in September 2027.
We want to extend a sincere thank you to all the students, families, staff, and community members who brought their creativity and shared their name suggestions for our new school community.
Next Steps in the Naming Process
- Shortlisting: Every submitted idea is being reviewed by the School Naming Committee to compile a shortlist of top recommendations.
- Board Recommendation: The shortlist will be presented to the Board of Trustees, who will select a recommended name.
- Ministry Approval: The selected name will be submitted to the Ministry of Education for final approval.
- Official Announcement: Once approved by the Ministry, the official name of Oakville’s new secondary school will be unveiled community-wide.
