Grade 9 Tips and Tricks Session for Grade 9s
The Student Senate recently hosted a Grade 9 Tips and Tricks Session, and we were happy to see such a strong turnout. Students explored subject-specific strategies as well as general study tips, including organization, time management, and exam preparation. The high level of participation showed how motivated our Grade 9 students are to succeed. As exams approach, we wish all Grade 9 students the best of luck and encourage them to put the strategies they learned into practice!
You can check out the slideshow here. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the Student Senate — Daniel Maier at 1maierdan@hdsb.ca, Christopher Szura at 1szurachr@hdsb.ca, or Banipreet Sachdeva at 1sachdevaban@hdsb.ca.
Fashion Forward
Fashion Forward is an initiative that provides Halton District School Board students an opportunity to select donated formal wear, at no cost, for their upcoming prom and graduation celebrations. Donations of clean, current-style formal wear for the Fashion Forward program are being accepted until the end of the day on Friday, Jan, 23.
Students are invited to attend any of the Fashion Forward Open Houses held in March and April to view and try on formal wear in a friendly and welcoming environment. Students may select from a variety of new and gently-used attire that has been donated for proms, graduations and other special events. Many different styles, colours and sizes of formal dresses will be available as well as suits, shirts, ties, shoes and accessories.

Ecuador Trip March 2026
Final Registration Opportunity Information
This past spring we launched Garth Webb Secondary School’s next service learning trip to Ecuador during March Break 2026! We’ve got over 25 students joining us already, but we’re offering one final opportunity for students to join us on this amazing adventure!
We launched the trip in the spring for grade 11 and 12 students to ensure our senior students had the opportunity to register. Now, because we have a few spots left, we’re opening the trip up to grade 10 students as well. Grade 11 and 12 students who are interested but didn’t join in the spring are also welcome to register now.
