Yesterday, the girls’ hockey team participated in the TA Blakelock Tournament. They started the tournament with two convincing wins over Oakville Trafalgar and Nelson. In the championship game, Garth Webb put up a strong fight but ultimately fell 1–0 to TA Blakelock. Despite the loss, the team showed grit and determination throughout. Audrey Cabaday delivered an outstanding performance, making several key saves that kept Garth Webb in the game. Great job team! |

During this event, you’ll hear about their journey, gain valuable knowledge about curl care, and learn practical techniques you can use or share with others. Kerr street is in dire need of canned meats but every contribution helps support families in need during the holiday season. Keep an eye out, flyers will be posted around the school with more information regarding upcoming events and ways to get involved. You’ll also notice a large donation bin in the front office. Garth Webb students, we’re excited to announce Curl Talks, an upcoming event happening December 15th, for anyone interested in learning about curly hair—whether you have curls yourself or just want to better understand and support friends, family, or even future clients with curly hair; this event is perfect for you! We’ll be hosting a special guest speaker who is both a successful business owner and a professional hair stylist specializing in curly hair. During this event, you’ll hear about their journey, gain valuable knowledge about curl care, and learn practical techniques you can use or share with others. Participants will also receive a free curly hair mask sample to take home. This event is FIRST COME FIRST SERVE, so If you’d like to be part of Curl Talks, please ask your teachers to present the QR sent out by Mrs. Kinsella, and fill it, or look out for class visits, as we are only taking 20-25 students! Yesterday, the girls’ hockey team started the season strong with two convincing victories. Garth Webb opened the day with a commanding 8–1 win over Frank Hayden. In their second matchup, Garth Webb carried their momentum into a 6–1 win over Milton District. Leading the way for the Chargers was Rainn Bailat with 6 goals and 4 assists. Great start to the season! |

The financial literacy club is hosting a competition sponsored by University of Waterloo this week on Thursday December 4th from 3pm to 4pm. We are looking to sign up students in grades 9 to 12 who wish to participate in this FREE competition. The financial literacy competition is an online multiple choice exam that tests students on their knowledge of financial topics like budgeting, investing, credit borrowing, mortgages and home ownership, and saving up for post secondary education costs.
