Official grand opening ceremony for new gymnasium at Glenview Public School to take place June 25 at 12 p.m.
Ceremony will take place at the school located at 143 Townsend Avenue.
The Halton District School Board will hold an official grand opening ceremony for the new gymnasium at Glenview Public School on Wednesday, June 25 at 12 p.m. at the school (143 Townsend Avenue, Burlington).
The new double gymnasium is a bright and spacious facility that features six basketball nets and large windows that fill the space with natural light. It includes change rooms, storage rooms and washrooms, along with a separate entrance for after-hours community access and expanded parking. Thoughtfully designed for both students and community, the new gymnasium will be a space for activity, learning, achievement and celebration for many years to come.
With a construction budget of approximately $3.5 million, the Halton District School Board awarded the architectural contract to Snyder Architects, while Golden Gate Contracting led the construction phase. Construction of the new gymnasium took place throughout the 2024–2025 school year and was completed in May.
In attendance at the ceremony will be Halton District School Board trustees, senior administrative staff, local government officials and a number of Glenview PS students.
