Students in the Spotlight 2025 | Showcasing Student Talent, Supporting Student Success

Held on April 30, 2025, at Burlington Central High School, Students in the Spotlight brought together performers from across the Halton District School Board for an unforgettable evening of singing, music, dance and more. Hosted by the Halton Learning Foundation, the showcase highlighted student talent while raising funds to help remove financial barriers for students. 28 backpacks had been funded during the night, surpassing the night’s goal of 20. Each backpack, a $100 donation, supports a student in need with essential school supplies. The event reflects the HDSB’s ongoing commitment to Learning, Engagement and Achievement by celebrating creativity and supporting student well-being through community partnership.

During HLF Month in April, HLF gathered funds to help 414 HDSB students, ensuring they have access to food, clothing, school supplies, and the essentials they need to succeed. Thank you to everyone who supported HLF Month.​
