    ​Meet Taylor Kwan, an Oakville Trafalgar HS student who's using technology to connect artists with buyers while making a difference! Through his online gallery, he facilitates the sale of artwork and donates a portion of the proceeds to charitable causes.

    HDSB I-STEM teams selected as regional finalists in Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition

    Students from the I-STEM program at Thomas A. Blakelock HS, Elsie MacGill SS and Aldershot School have been selected as regional finalists in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition, where students across Canada create innovative solutions to real-world problems using Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) learning.

    The Arrive and Thrive Conference for HDSB newcomer students amplified the voices of newcomers by facilitating their storytelling journey and showcasing the experiences and triumphs of newcomers through visual art.

  • Fashion Forward in the HDSB

    Fashion Forward provides students with the opportunity to view, try on and take home a formal wear outfit in a friendly and welcoming environment. 

  • Dr. Frank J. Hayden SS Hosts Annual Paint the Town Event in Support of Joseph Brant Hospital

    Dr. Frank J. Hayden SS hosted 2025 Paint the Town, presented by the Halton Regional Police Service. The event brought together young artists and community members in support of Joseph Brant Hospital's redevelopment and expansion of the Mental Health and Addictions unit.

  • Co-op in the HDSB - Total Skin and Body Spa

    ​​​Elsie MacGill SS student Binish gained hands-on experience in the aesthetics industry at Total Skin and Body Spa. Co-op is a fantastic opportunity for HDSB students to earn secondary school credits while completing a work experience placement in the community.

  • Student Vote at Viola Desmond PS

    Grade 5 students at Viola Desmond PS participated in Civix Canada Student Vote on Feb. 26. Through this hands-on experience, students are learning the importance of civic engagement and making their voices heard.

  • International Women's Day Breakfast

    The Young Women in Leadership club at Abbey Park HS held their annual International Women's Day Breakfast on Friday Mar. 7, 2025. Attendees enjoyed breakfast, participated in a silent auction to raise funds for SAVIS (Sexual Assault & Violence Intervention Services), networked and listened to inspiring guest speakers.​
