Celebrating Education Week 2026: Recognizing Kindness, Connection and Community
The Halton District School Board joins school boards across Ontario in celebrating Education Week from May 4-8, 2026. This week provides an opportunity to showcase the meaningful work taking place across HDSB schools and workspaces, and to recognize the achievements and contributions of students, staff and the broader school community.
Throughout the week, the HDSB is sharing stories and initiatives that demonstrate how the 2024–2028 Multi-Year Strategic Plan (MYSP) is shaping learning environments and supporting student success and well-being.
To conclude Education Week, the HDSB is focusing on its commitment to Kindness, Connection and Community, as outlined in our MYSP, and how it supports the success of students.
HDSB Kind
To bring shared language, focus and visibility to this commitment, the HDSB launched an initiative that aligns and highlights the many ways these values are already lived throughout the Board – HDSB Kind.
Stories of kindness, connection and community continue to be shared through We Are HDSB, our storytelling series that celebrates the students, staff, families and community members who make our schools safe, welcoming and supportive places to learn and work.
