Halton District School Board (HDSB) students excelled at the annual Skills Ontario Competition, held on May 5 and 6 at the Toronto Congress Centre.
The Halton District School Board is pleased to announce that HDSB Superintendent of Education Jennie Petko has been selected as the incoming Associate Director of Education. Jennie is the successful candidate of the hiring process that took place throughout April and May, following the announcement of Associate Director of Education Tina Salmini’s retirement.

Robert Baldwin Public School (180 Wilson Drive, Milton) is celebrating a major milestone – its 50th anniversary – with a special fun fair celebration on Thursday, May 29 from 5 - 7 p.m. The school welcomes former students, staff and community members who have been a part of the Robert Baldwin PS community during the past 50 years to attend the celebration.
At its Special Board meeting on Wednesday, April 30, the Halton District School Board appointed Audrey Wubbenhorst as Trustee for Oakville Wards 5 & 7.
The appointment process was initiated after Oakville (Wards 5 & 7) Trustee Kelly Amos formally announced her intention to retire in June. In accordance with the Ontario Education Act (221.1) and the HDSB’s Filling a Trustee Vacancy Governance Procedure, the Board opted to fill the vacancy through an appointment process, in which the successful candidate was chosen at a special board meeting open to the public.

Blakelock HS, Elsie MacGill SS and Aldershot School have been selected as regional finalists in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition, where students across Canada create innovative solutions to real-world problems using Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) learning.
