TBD-Milton Education Village School Assignment Boundary Review
Following the approval of Board Report 24158 (South Milton – Milton SE #13 Boundary Review) on Jan. 9, 2025, the Milton Education Village lands – located west of Tremaine Road- were assigned a temporary “To Be Determined” (TBD) status. In March 2025, the Halton District School Board received a Plan of Subdivision and Ministerial Zoning Order for this area. While the development remains under active review, staff recommends finalizing the school assignments for this TBD area prior to the commencement of residential sales to ensure clarity for prospective families
At the June 2, 2026, Board meeting, HDSB Trustees approved a motion to initiate a boundary review process to assign a school to the Milton Education Village. This process will be managed by a newly established Steering Committee and will have no impact on currently enrolled students. The review is targeted for completion by September 2026. Implementation of any boundary changes may take effect immediately.
The motion, as presented in Board Report 26040 is as follows:
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Board of Trustees direct staff to initiate a boundary review for Elementary Review Areas (ERA) 303 (Sherwood) and 304 (Boyne), including ERA 301 (Central Milton), to determine the school assignment(s) for the To Be Determined - the Milton Education Village area.
The boundary review may impact the following elementary schools, in that they may receive additional enrolment from Milton Education Village once development and occupancies begin:
- Martin Street PS (FI program)
- Anne J MacArthur, PS (FI Program)
- Escarpment View PS (English Program)
- P.L. Robertson PS (English and FI program)
- Rattlesnake Public School (English Program)
- Viola Desmond PS (English Program)
Below is the Study Area map illustrating the area under review:

For more information on the process and the roles and responsibilities of the committees, please review the School Boundary Review Administrative Procedure.
It is anticipated that the review will follow the Pathway 2 process as per the above Administrative Procedure, which won’t require the establishment of a Boundary Review Committee composed of Parent Members. Since this area is not assigned to a school, it is planned for this boundary review to take effect immediately.
