Students from P.L. Robertson PS teacher Abbe Horowitz's class have decided to take action against plastic pollution and textile waste.
Craig Kielburger SS, Elsie MacGill SS, Nelson HS, T.A. Blakelock HS, White Oaks SS and M.M. Robinson HS took part in the Community Pathways Program Soccer Baseball Tournament, an event that brought students together for a fun-filled day of teamwork and connection.

Robert Baldwin Public School (180 Wilson Drive, Milton) is celebrating a major milestone – its 50th anniversary – with a special fun fair celebration on Thursday, May 29 from 5 - 7 p.m. The school welcomes former students, staff and community members who have been a part of the Robert Baldwin PS community during the past 50 years to attend the celebration.
T.A. Blakelock HS's I-STEM program partnered with the University of Waterloo’s Science and Business program to offer Grade 10 students an enriching opportunity to explore global challenges through an entrepreneurial lens, combining STEM principles with business strategy.
At its Special Board meeting on Wednesday, April 30, the Halton District School Board appointed Audrey Wubbenhorst as Trustee for Oakville Wards 5 & 7.
The appointment process was initiated after Oakville (Wards 5 & 7) Trustee Kelly Amos formally announced her intention to retire in June. In accordance with the Ontario Education Act (221.1) and the HDSB’s Filling a Trustee Vacancy Governance Procedure, the Board opted to fill the vacancy through an appointment process, in which the successful candidate was chosen at a special board meeting open to the public.
HDSB students are taking part in the Ship of Tolerance, a project created by the Ilya & Emilia Kabakov Foundation “to promote art as a medium for communication and cooperation between diverse cultures while nurturing the growth and development of young artists in all disciplines.”
