The HDSB is hosting Autumn Peltier at multiple HDSB schools during National Indigenous History Month to highlight the brilliance and contributions of Indigenous peoples. Staff and students have been preparing for Autumn's presentation by learning about her work and her advocacy for water and Indigenous rights.
Two Grade 11 students from White Oaks Secondary School have achieved a remarkable milestone, being among only three students selected by the Harvard Club of Toronto to receive the 2025 Harvard Prize Book. Anjola Solademi and Hasini Medabalime were presented with the award by Club representatives Pierre Chen and Nancy J. Coombs on June 17, 2025. This year is the first time in the Harvard Club of Toronto’s history that two students from the same school have received the award in the same year.
Three Halton District School Board (HDSB) educators have been named recipients of the S.J. “Jack” Ulan Professional Contribution Award presented by the Ontario Cooperative Education Association (OCEA). This annual award recognizes educators who have made ongoing and outstanding contributions to Cooperative Education (co-op) in Ontario.
