May 21, 2026 - Students from the Halton District School Board (HDSB) will participate in the 39th annual Special Athletics Track Meet on Friday, June 12, 2026 at Garth Webb Secondary School (2820 Westoak Trails Blvd, Oakville).
The Halton District School Board is celebrating Director of Education Curtis Ennis after he was named the 2026 Grand Champion at this year’s Dancing with Easter Seals Stars fundraiser event.
Students from across the Halton District School Board took centre stage at Burlington Central School on the evening of April 29 for the annual Students in the Spotlight showcase, a fundraising event hosted by the Halton Learning Foundation (HLF) celebrating student talent while raising critical funds to support families facing financial barriers.

May 4, 2026 - The Halton District School Board is proud to recognize the success of 109 students at the 42nd annual Celebration of Student Excellence event at Dr. Frank J. Hayden Secondary School (3040 Tim Dobbie Dr, Burlington) on Thursday, May 7 at 7 p.m. Each year, one student from each HDSB elementary and secondary school is honoured for their excellence in self-improvement, enhancing the school and/or local community, citizenship, student leadership, academics, vocational studies and specialized programs or extra-curricular activities.
The 34th annual Halton Skills Competition, hosted by the Halton District School Board (HDSB), brought together more than 1,200 elementary and secondary students from across the region to showcase their talents in a dynamic, hands-on environment that extends learning far beyond the classroom.
