Casual/Replacement Speech-Language Pathologist
The Halton District School Board is seeking qualified Speech-Language Pathologists who will replace absent Speech-Language Pathologists.
The successful candidates will provide speech and language consultation, assessment and/or intervention services within the Halton District School Board. Casual/Replacement Speech-Language Pathologists may work in a variety of elementary and secondary schools and/or have responsibility in supporting students who attend specialized language programs/classrooms. Along with experience working with typically developing students with language delays, the successful candidate must have experience and/or knowledge of strategies for supporting students who have developmental delays/disorders, or who are on the Autism spectrum. Knowledge of Assistive Technology for functional communication support will be an asset.
A reliable vehicle and valid Driver’s Licence are essential.
Casual/Replacement Speech-Language Pathologist positions are held for a defined period of time and not eligible for employee benefits.
A Master’s degree from an accredited University and registration, or eligibility for registration, in CASLPO is required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
